Palm Oil Free

We are proudly palm oil free.  This can be a very tricky thing in the food industry as Palm oil is used in so many everyday items and it has become the most widely used vegetable oil on the planet.  However, large scale conversion of tropical rain forests to oil palm plantations is having a devastating impact on a huge number of plant and animal species. Large areas of tropical forests and other ecosystems with high conservation values have been cleared to make room for vast monoculture oil palm plantations. This clearing has destroyed critical habitat for many endangered species—including rhinos, elephants and tigers. Burning forests to make room for the crop is also a major source of greenhouse gas emissions. Intensive cultivation methods result in soil pollution and erosion and water contamination.

One Tree Planted

We are proud to partner with the global reforestation organisation One Tree Planted.  For every 6 cases of our product sold, we will plant one tree to help restore forests, create habitat for biodiversity, and make a positive social impact around the world.  Trees help to clean the air we breathe, by absorbing harmful pollutants through their leaves and bark, and release clean oxygen for us to breathe. In urban environments, trees absorb pollutant gases like nitrogen oxides, ozone, and carbon monoxide, and sweep up particles like dust and smoke. Increasing levels of carbon dioxide caused by deforestation and fossil fuel combustion trap heat in the atmosphere. Healthy, strong trees act as carbon sinks, offset carbon and reducing the effects of climate change.
